What a Find!
So I was wandering through the BYU Bookstore today after my shift. I walked over to the Children's Book section.
I looked through a few books that I remember from my childhood (which is always fun). I was getting ready to leave when I walked by the Bargain section.
And there they were! Stacks and stacks of some of my favorite books -- Mary Blair Disney books. Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan.
And the best part! Only $6.99 each! I quickly picked up the best copy of Cinderella I could find.
Sadly, I already have the other two (Christmas Presents) and paid full price for them! But now my collection is complete!
I think these books are great - Mary Blair's syle is so fun and fresh. She did all the concept art for these movies back in the 50s. She also designed Small World at Disneyland.

Cookies for Breakfast
I love it when teachers do something a little bit out of the ordinary.
Today in my History of Travel and Tourism class we were discussing American travel to France (Which really makes me want to go to France by the way).
To make things a little more interesting, I suppose, my professor brought in little French cookies for all of us from a bakery in Salt Lake!
Delicious! I love cookies for breakfast!
Speaking of trips to France... Has anyone used the Priceline negotiator thing?
Because I found 2 round trip tickets for less than $500.00.
It sounds too good to be true, but If it is true - I'm going to Paris!!

Dreamin' of Shoes and Springtime.
It's always this time of year that drags on -- classes are hard, the weather is weird and I just want to be somewhere else. Less than 40 days left of classes!
My toes are tired of being in socks and want to be in cute springtime flats. Here are some goodies I found while daydreaming between classes.

Three Reasons I Love Dan.
(Isn't he dreamy?)
1. He brought me a chocolate covered strawberry at work.
2. He rubbed my back (without even being asked!)
3. He helped me with my paper that I'd procrastinated and made it sound great!

Top 5 in the Country!
Just found out that BYU's PR program is in the top 5 in the nation! Wow. PR Weekly (the Bible of the PR industry) ranked us with NYU, Georgetown, Alabama and Howard University. We'll find out March 11th who made #1! I knew I picked a good major!

A Candy Post.
1. 110 Essential Candies for the "Candivore" -- Found this list while researching this post, actually. I love candy- its no secret. I want to try it all! Here is a great list of everything. I think I've made a new life goal. :)
2. Necco Sweethearts are terrible this year. I hope that the change isn't permanent, but I fear it is. Instead of the faint, familiar flavors these traditional Valentine's confections are nasty. They taste like cough syrup and perfume when you accidentally spray in your mouth. I disapprove. However, we at the Candy Counter have the traditional Necco variety in bulk. I've had many a happy customer discover that someone still has the classic!
3. Coconut M&Ms are back in stores. I tried these last year, and they were great. I've also got it on good authority that sometime this summer Pretzel M&Ms will be available? Sounds pretty good -- I like chocolate covered pretzels.
4. Monster Malted Milkies have been discontinued at work. While I don't really care for these myself, we have some very loyal customers who come in every week and get their pound bags. i unfortunately, had the privilege of letting these gentlemen know their favorite was being axed. I felt so bad! Probably the saddest thing I've ever had to tell someone at work. Apparently the company that manufactures these malt balls is moving to be Gluten-Free and these sadly, are not making the cut.
5. Mars bars are back! My mom loves Mars bars, and we were sad when they were discontinued for Snickers Almond back a few years ago. A Mars bar is way better than a Snickers Almond, just so you know. Dan and I were at Wal-Mart and there was a box of Mars bars right at the checkout. I was so happy I called my mom to tell her and woke her up (I sometimes forget about the time-zone thing)
Anyway, those are all the notable updates in the world of Candy.
Love,
Candace
